Time Recording
Training & Education
Capture more productive time
and reduce administrative burden
Time recording is the cornerstone of the majority of law firms in Australia. Yet, few lawyers or administrative staff ever receive comprehensive training or education in this crucial area.
We specialise in time recording training to ensure billable hours are captured more accurately and more often.
When time recording is done well,
- staff are better equipped to meet their quotas, boosting morale,
- admin is streamlined, boosting productivity and
- fees are consistently more accurate, boosting the bottom line.
Our goal is to educate your people to seamlessly record their productivity so that time is no longer an issue.
With the right knowledge and processes, your people will be alert and aware of when to capture their productive time, how to describe their activities for invoicing purposes and overall, how to streamline the administrative task.
We provide tailored, highly effective training sessions at your premises with minimal disruption to your business.
We can also develop guidelines to help your business standardise, implement and maintain good time recording practices in your chosen area/s of law.

FAQs
Who is this training suitable for?
Anyone working in a law, regardless of experience, will benefit from further training and education in time recording. Our approach is to determine what each individual already knows, add to their existing knowledge base, optimise or change their approach and reinforce the importance of time recording for individuals and the business as a whole.
How long does the training take?
We deliver training sessions in short sessions, online or face to face. The average time of the initial training will range from 60 to 90 minutes for workshops or CPD’s. Longer training sessions have generally been reserved for individuals or groups seeking more advanced training across a number of areas. There are a variety of ways the training can be delivered.
Where does the training take place?
The training can take place at your place of employment, using the individual or groups own files/area of law for context. We offer more generalized individual and group training via CPD seminars and workshops. Online workshops are available throughout the week and usually consist of small groups for more effective training.
Which geographical areas do you cover?
Thrive provides training and education to law firms throughout Australia, either face to face or via online webinars and workshops.
What sized businesses do you service?
From individual sole practitioners to large corporate firms, we can deliver training programs to legal practices of any size.
Can CPD points be claimed through this program?
Yes. This training is relevant to the lawyer's professional development and 1 unit can be claimed for each hour of training (up to 3 hrs of professional development in NSW- may vary for other states). The necessary CPD documentation can be provided at the conclusion of the training for your records.

I am so impressed with your involvement in the analysis of staff workings. Your guidance with staff to get the most out of time recordings has significantly increased turnover. Most of all, it allowed me to confidently spend less time with staff and therefore increased my own personal turnover.
